Summary: Finaan is a personal financial management app. Your detailed financial data never leaves your device. We only store on our servers the minimum information necessary for account functionality.

2. How We Use Your Information
2.1 Local Data (on your device)
All your detailed financial information remains exclusively on your device. We do not have access to this data. This includes:
- Your transactions and financial history
- Invoice and document images
- Voice recordings for expense logging
- Personalized settings
2.2 Backups
When you enable backups, they are stored in your own cloud storage account (Google Drive). We use "restricted access" permissions that allow us to:
- ✅ Create and read files in the Finaan folder
- ❌ NOT access other files in your Drive
2.3 AI Processing
When extracting information from documents:
- Text is extracted locally on your device
- Only text (not the image) is sent to Google Cloud's Vertex AI
- Processing is transient and not stored
- Data is NOT used to train AI models
3. Third-Party Services
3.1 Google Cloud (Vertex AI)
We use Vertex AI for text processing. Under our enterprise agreements:
- Data is processed transiently
- Not permanently stored
- Not used for model training

3.2 Firebase (Authentication and Database)
We use Firebase for:
- User authentication (Google Sign-In)
- Minimal account data storage

3.3 App Stores
Payments are processed by Google Play or App Store according to their own policies.

Important note: We never record audio in the background nor access files without your explicit consent.
5. Data Security
We implement security measures including:
- Encrypted communications (HTTPS/TLS)
- Encrypted local database on device
- Secure authentication via Google OAuth
- Restricted access to server data
6. Data Retention
- Local data: Until you uninstall the app
- Cloud backups: Until you manually delete them
- Server data: While your account is active
- After account deletion: Server data deleted within 30 days
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access: Request what data we have about you
- Rectification: Correct inaccurate data
- Deletion: Request account deletion
- Portability: Export your local data

8. Children's Privacy
Finaan is not directed to individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy occasionally. We will notify you of significant changes through an in-app notification when you use the App. Continued use after changes implies acceptance.
